Paul Scholes must be thrilled.
His legacy whittled down to a comparison with a centre back. A left-footed one at that.
Okay, in fairness, he can take this as a slight compliment because it was a delicious goal.
Daley Blind fired United ahead at Old Trafford with a rocket of a left-footed strike in the second period and what a forage it was forward – economical you might say.
Daley Blind's made one touch near Liverpool's penalty area… but WHAT a touch… http://t.co/A5wSnMePZk #MUFCvLFC pic.twitter.com/tDcO0d5JWF

A well-worked free kick exposed some organisational issues at the back for Brendan Rodgers’ men as the whole thing opened up for the Dutch centre back/left back/midfielder to curl home emphatically.
Ander Herrera followed up from the spot but we’ve seen an almost similar strike to Blind’s before – against Liverpool too. Way back in the treble-winning season.
And United fans got a little carried away.
Blind scoring like Scholes !!!

A fantastic goal from a good player. But this is bleak if true.
