The Red Devils opted to part company with their Portuguese head coach on Monday, following back-to-back draws with Wolves and Leeds, and a reported falling out between Amorim and the club's sporting director.
Just 24 hours on from the announcement of Amorim’s departure, midfield star Kobbie Mainoo has been spotted liking an Instagram post from online meme account “ThatGuysJokes.”
One of the images on the carousel liked by Mainoo read: “Amorim after hiring all his best mates to be coaching staff and getting them a fat payout,” accompanied by an image of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Mainoo's online activity comes after months of reported tension between the 20-year-old midfield star and his former manager.

Despite starring under Erik ten Hag, and his status as one of the only academy players with a realistic prospect of continuing Man United's rich tradition of playing for the first team, Mainoo was consistently sidelined by Amorim, and is still yet to start a Premier League match this season.
Late last year, Mainoo's brother was spotted at Old Trafford wearing a "Free Kobbie Mainoo" T-shirt, in reference to Kobbie's reduced gametime.
It remains to be seen whether Mainoo will see his first team opportunities grow under interim boss Darren Fletcher.
