Manchester United are braced for an offer from Chelsea for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan with Borussia Dortmund after a public dispute with Erik ten Hag.
The England winger, 24, returned to the club for pre-season and was part of United's squad for the Community Shield match against Manchester City.
Sancho, however, was not part of the the Red Devils' squad for the Premier League win over Fulham on the opening weekend of the season.
The winger is available for a transfer and was linked with Paris Saint-Germain as part of a swap deal for midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
However, according to The Athletic, Man United's hierarchy 'sense' that Chelsea will make an approach for Sancho before the transfer window closes on August 30.
The Red Devils are said to want £40m to sell Sancho, whom they bought from Dortmund for £73m in 2021.
He has made 83 appearances for the club, and scored 12 goals in a disappointing spell at Old Trafford.
Sancho is said to be keen to find a new club, but Man United have, so far, reportedly found it difficult to find a team to meet his wage demands.
If Sancho were to join Chelsea before the end of the transfer window, he would become the 12th player to sign for the Blues this summer.
