The last thing he needs right now is a serious injury.

Luke Shaw was forced off the pitch after just 50 minutes tonight after sustaining a head injury. Having got the assist to put England 1-0 up in the first half, Shaw's return to international football had started brilliantly. However, a clash with Dani Carvajal early in the second half left him apparently unconscious on the turf. Physios attended to the injury for more than five minutes before the Manchester United player was carried off on a stretcher. https://twitter.com/MiguelDelaney/status/1038516129390579712 Shaw was replaced by Danny Rose after the team of physios had carried him off the pitch.
