For West Ham fans it was an awful day but for Manchester United fans they were more than happy to see the days of old back at Old Trafford.
It was their biggest win in three years as Lukaku scored twice, Martial and Pogba both also got on the scoresheet and for any Irish fans tuned in they will have noticed one player in particular from West Ham.
Declan Rice is only 18-years-old, born in 1999 (feel old?) and came on against the biggest club in football.
For how poor West Ham was there was universal praise for Rice amongst Irish and West Ham fans alike.
