Ahead of kick-off, Steven Gerrard's presence in the stands was met with a positive emotional reaction from the vast majority of Liverpool fans. But after Crystal Palace had beaten the Reds 2-1 at Anfield, there was a different set of feelings coming from the supporters as they began pointing the finger at a "Gerrard curse" for causing Jurgen Klopp's first defeat as Liverpool manager.
