Liverpool have signed the “next Martin Odegaard”

Norwegian wonderkid alert

Ben Kiely

A footballer being dubbed a newer version of a 16-year-old youth player? What a time to be alive.

It seems that after missing out on Tagseth’s compatriot Martin Odegaard last winter, who ended up signing for Real Madrid, the Reds have decided to go for the next best thing by signing arguably the second most exciting hot prospect to come out of Norway.

Liverpool have snapped up 14-year-old Nowegian wonderkid Edvard Tagseth from Neset FK Youth, according to reports in Norway.

The Reds beat off the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton who were all said to be interested in the youngster. However, Tagseth will remain in Norway until he turns 16, as he will be unable to play for the club until then.

You can watch a highlight reel of Tagseth in action here.
