Liverpool fans sing deafening rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ at the Aviva Stadium

The support that Liverpool commands around the world really is something to behold at times.

Whether it’s Ann Arbor, Michigan, Melbourne, Victoria, or Dublin, Ireland, the club has an ability to bring together thousands of supporters and Gerry and The Pacemakers You’ll Never Walk Alone is the anthem that usually brings them all together.

There’s been some great renditions of the song over the years, from Anfield to the MCG, and Dublin seems to be right up there with them.

The song was played out over the Aviva Stadium speakers before Liverpool’s penultimate pre-season friendly with Napoli on Saturday and eventually faded out to allow the fans in attendance to finish out the chorus.

Liverpool also concluded their pre-season last year in Dublin and manager Jurgen Klopp hailed the Irish capital as an ‘LFC’ city.

“I was really touched by the atmosphere, to be honest,” Klopp said in a post-match press conference following a Liverpool win over Athletic Bilbao.

“When we came to the stadium, when we drove through the city, when we arrived at the hotel, it was really special.

“I heard that Dublin is quite an LFC city — Now I know. It’s completely different to feel it. I thought it made absolute sense to try give something back.”
