Liverpool ‘agree transfer’ for Argentina World Cup star

This would really bolster Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Liverpool are reportedly first in line to secure the signature of a young Argentina star who has been shining at the 2022 World Cup.

Jurgen Klopp has obviously been keeping a close eye on proceedings in Qatar, and not just at the current Liverpool stars who are playing in the tournament, but future players for the team.

Argentina have reached the semi-finals of the competition after defeating the Netherlands in World Cup classic, and one player in particular has been enjoying a meteoric rise.

Enzo Fernandez has done a Micah Richards, and ‘burst on to the scene’ in this tournament, forcing his way into the midfield of the national team and then cementing his place there.

His wonderful strike against Mexico has certainly helped his cause and he has played a key part in helping his nation, and his captain Lionel Messi, keep their World Cup dreams alive.

The Benfica star would have played alongside Darwin Nunez last season, and the Uruguayan could play a part in helping to convince the youngster to join him on Merseyside.

According to La Capital, the Reds are best poised to sign the 21-year-old, and the former River Plate star could be playing his football at Anfield next season.

“The English club in this way anticipated two other greats in the Premier League, Manchester United and Manchester City, institutions that had also planned to add the former River and Defensa y Justicia since June 2023.”
