The former Bournemouth gaffer is on the way!

Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle for Andoni Iraola to become their next manager, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Iraola, a free agent since leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season, is set to replace the departed Arne Slot, who could only guide the Redmen to a 5th placed finish.

Iraola, on the other hand, oversaw a brilliant season for the Cherries, who finished 6th in the table.

Not only this, the Cherries soared up the table in the second half of the season, going eighteen games unbeaten in the process.

The South Coast club also signed the likes of Brazilian international Rayan and the red hot Eli Junior Kroupi, who have seriously come into form at the club.

Now though, Iraola is set for a new project. It is understood that he will lead the Liverpool project going forward.

Talks have advanced over the past 48 hours and a deal is in place for him to become the Slot successor.
