Bigger than sport.

France’s biggest daily sports publication, L’Equipe, dedicated their front page to the tragic events that unfolded in Paris on Friday night.

At the time of writing, over 128 people are believed to have been killed in six separate attacks across the city. Over 200 people are injured, 80 seriously. Three people died after a bomb was detonated at Stade de France, where France were playing Germany in an international friendly.

The English translation for L’Equipe’s front page is as follows:

“The Horror. Terrorist attacks took place near the Stade de France, Saint Denis, yesterday. At midnight the toll was at least 40 dead.”

Spanish newspapers AS and Marca put a black ribbon on their masthead.
