When you meet one of the greats, it’s always good to prepare something poignant to say to them.
Think about it. If someone manages to achieve fame through greatness, imagine the amount of talentless plebs they encounter on a daily basis who pester them for a scrawl on a sheet of paper, an out-of-focus selfie and some hackneyed praise that they’ve probably heard a billion times that week.
To distinguish yourself from these fanboys, a tried and tested method is to give them something to remember them by, such as a thought-provoking quote.
Kevin-Prince Boateng isn’t a Joe Nobody. He’s played in four of Europe’s top five leagues – the Premier League, Serie A, the Bundesliga and he’s currently lining out at La Liga outfit Las Palmas. However, even his mother would admit that his talent pales in comparison to that of legendary player Pele.
Which is why we sincerely hope the caption he chose for his photo with the iconic footballer on Twitter isn’t the same phrase he uttered upon meeting him. It is memorable for all the wrong reasons.

If you’re struggling to wrap you’re head around the quote, just know this, you don’t have to be thinking what you’re thinking when you’re thinking what you’re thinking.
