The American businessman relaxed with fans ahead of the Champions League final in Madrid.

Liverpool owner John W. Henry took some time out from the executive box to relax with Liverpool supporters at the club’s fan park in Madrid ahead of the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday evening.

Henry is in the Spanish capital of Madrid to watch his Liverpool side compete in the final of Europe’s premiere cup competition for the second consecutive season, after last year’s 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

This year they face Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium and, unlike last year, they go into the game as favourites.

With kick-off not until 8pm, Henry popped down to the fan park, where thousands of supporters could be seen fraternising and singing ahead of the match.

Film producer Linda Pizzuti, who married Henry in 2009, wrote on Instagram: “We went to the Liverpool fan park, and as expected, it is ON! The passion is palpable. A sea of red with songs and hope and dreams and cheer in the park and throughout Madrid. And now, we are on our way to the stadium, filled with the same hope and dreams for the evening ahead.”
