Jamie Vardy can no longer say that he stands alone as the fastest player in the Premier League this season.
Prior to last Tuesday, Vardy was the only player to have reached a speed of 22 miles per hour but now he’s got some company at the top of the charts.
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial managed to reach a sprint speed of 22 mph during United’s 3-3 draw with Newcastle last week.
According to records kept by EA Sports’ Player Performance Index, Martial is now the joint-fastest player in the league and it (kind of) clears up the argument surrounding who truly is the paciest player at Old Trafford.
