The most pressing issue at Goodison Park, according to Carragher, was the failure to replace Romelu Lukaku and he maintains that a lack of a reliable goalscorer will continue to be a problem, regardless of who replaces Koeman. "They've had a poor start. They've had a lot of players who have come in who are still trying to gel," the former Reds defender said on Friday Night Football. "But even if you change Ronald Koeman, the biggest problem at Everton will still be there and that's no centre-forward. "So whoever you bring in as a manager, they'll have that problem of scoring goals and that's not going to go away unless they change it in January."
