Ireland defeated Qatar 1-0 in the Aviva after an impressive header by captain Nathan Collins.
Although, not the most entertaining of fixtures, Ireland got the job done winning their final home game of the 2025/26 season.
Had very little to do throughout the match. Although, did produce an impressive save on Alaaedin after a deflected effort off teammate Nathan Collins.
Had a relatively strong first half and was confident playing out from the back. Was substituted for James Abankwah at half-time.
Scored the games opening goal with a towering header. Defended astutely throughout the game and led the back three confidently as captain.
O'Brien again showed why he must be a main stay in this back three for Ireland. The Everton defender was impervious at the back albeit against slightly worse opposition.
Doesn't have the attacking capability of a Brady or Manning, not exactly inspiring for a friendly, but did a fine job. Was given SKY MOTM for his defensive performances.
Dropped deep to receive the ball, but often played it too safe when McGrath and Obgene found space in the pocket, instead going sideways. Defended well after the red card.
Didn't grab the game like one would expect he would when giving an opportunity to start in midfield with Finn Azaz pulling out of the squad. Safe and slow on the ball.
What more can we say about this man. Coleman always puts in a shift for his country and that's exactly what he did again. The Donegal man offered his leadership qualities and technical ability to Heimir's side.
Ogbene was again a decent outlet for Ireland on the wing albeit quieter then his usual self. It's important this off-season that Ogbene reaches full-fitness.
Whipped the ball in for the games opening goal and was a livewire for Ireland throughout. Maybe too much of a livewire however, the Dubliner was sent-off after a late challenge on Jassem Gaber
Troy Parrott although not adding his name to the scoresheet tonight had an impressive game up-top, holding the ball well and showing off flair moments. At the end he got the send-off he deserved being substituted by Mason Melia.
Looked tidy in defence operating on the left of the back-three
Came on and probably did the most entertaining thing in the second half - through a tidy stepover.
A little shaky on the ball but that's understandable when making your debut.
Didn't have enough time to make an impact but brilliant to see make his debut.
