In-form Ireland midfielder's Euro 2016 dream could be over after serious injury

The news from Portman Road is not good.

Ireland's Euro 2016 squad will be named in around six weeks time, but one of the country's in-form midfielders may not be available for selection.

Alan Judge has enjoyed probably his best ever season as a professional footballer, and is a shoo-in to be Brentford's Player of the Season.

He has only just made his Ireland debut, but news reaching us this afternoon suggests his season could well be over after a horror challenge in today's game against Ipswich Town.

Judge was stretchered off after a heavy tackle from Luke Hyam and it does not sound good.

awful

Early reports suggest the midfielder’s season could be over after a challenge from Hyam,  and the pictures from the ground do not look good.
