Ian Wright suggested something quite drastic to stop Chelsea’s Premier League slide

He was a star man last season...

Drastic times call for drastic measures.

And things are pretty drastic for Chelsea at the moment with last year’s champions hovering just above the relegation zone in 16th place with just three wins from 12 games.

Jose Mourinho’s side slumped to another defeat against Stoke –  with frontman Diego Costa drawing another blank (that’s just two goals in 10 games now).

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is calling for some pretty drastic action to stop their slide down the table… Get rid of Diego Costa.

“I would sell him at the first opportunity I get because, as brilliant as he was in the first season, he is playing differently,” said Wright.

“He seems a little bit more antagonising. The first season he got here he was focusing on scoring goals, being in the box. Now he’s outside the box, he’s getting involved with people.

“I believe at this moment now, he’s the last centre forward you need. You need a centre forward who’s going to get on with it, stretch teams and cause teams problems in the right way.”
