Oh no…
This is bad.
And when we say bad, we mean bad.
Bournemouth were away to Southampton in today’s late kick-off in the Premier League.
The game finished 0-0 but it was an entertaining game which the scoreline may not suggest.
In the end, a point is probably good for Eddie Howe’s side but they had an incredible opportunity to gain three points when they were awarded a penalty after 79 minutes.
Ryan Bertrand pulled back Ryan Fraser in the penalty area and the referee had no choice but to point to the spot.
Ireland’s Harry Arter stepped up to take the penalty but he couldn’t have made worse contact as the ball could have easily entered row Z.
Going…
Going…
Gone….
Oh boy….
Just look at where the ball is…
It’s not pretty.
Arter actually had a great chance to make up for his error in the dying moments of the game when he swung a 20-yard effort towards goal but Fraser Forster did excellently to save.
It was a terrible penalty attempt from Arter but it happens to a lot of players so hopefully he can put it behind him and finish off the season strongly.
