An interesting move for him.
Danny Welbeck could be set for a move away from England at the end of the season when his contract with Arsenal comes to an end.
With the Gunners reportedly deciding not to offer the forward a new contract, he will be available on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.
He is currently out injured, after suffering a break to his ankle during Arsenal’s Europa League tie with Sporting Clube de Portugal one month ago.
One of the clubs interested in signing the England international is Galatasaray, according to The Mirror.
The Turkish club were interested in signing Welbeck earlier this year and are set to revive their interest in him next summer when he will become a free agent.
Galatasaray are in need of a striker after selling former Swansea forward to Saudi club Bafetimbi Gomis Al-Hilal in the summer, and believe Welbeck could be the answer to their problems.
Injuries have plagued Welbeck’s career, making him a risk for whichever club picks him up, but he has shown that when fit he can be a handful for defenders.
Galatasaray will be hoping he can put injury troubles behind him and fire the Istanbul side back to the top of the Super Lig, where they currently linger in 5th place.
