France Football have revealed three potential magazine covers for their Ballon d’Or issue and they’re all fantastic… well, two of them are
The Ballon d’Or will be awarded tonight with Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manuel Neuer all going up against each other for the most coveted individual accolade in world football.
French soccer magazine France Football released the three possible covers for their next issue, which is set to feature the winner of the award.
All three options seem to be pretty standard at first glance, and to be fair the Messi and Neuer covers are fairly decent. However, the one featuring Real Madrid’s top man, Cristiano Ronaldo features an extremely cringe-worthy pun.

“RonaldOr”… my eyes, the goggles do nothing.
There’s no way this pun could possibly scan. Even when attempting to say it in a dodgy French accent, it just doesn’t seem to work as a play on words.
