Gareth Southgate is set to address the media about the sanctions.

Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood missed England training today after photos were published alleging the pair to have hosted girls in their hotel rooms in Iceland, breaking Covid-19 protocol.

Both players made their senior England debuts against Iceland on Saturday in Reykjavik, but did not train today after Icelandic website 433.is published the allegations.

The girls who are alleged to have joined the England duo posted their trip to Snapchat. If the allegations are found to be true, the pair are likely to be sent home, having put the ‘bubble’ at risk.

Gareth Southgate will speak to the media this afternoon and address the issue.

The Football Association have been investigating the matter since it was first brought to their attention.
