There was some confusion on Twitter on Sunday when "Rex Secco" began trending after reports circulated that Arsenal had shelled out £34m on the youngster. Fear not Gooners, we can confirm that the story was completely made up by a select group of Twitter users. However, the joke really began to build momentum quickly. Arsenal are famously the only club in Europe’s top 5 leagues to not sign an outfield player this summer. It is thought that the Twitter accounts started the joke because of this fact.
