The club say they are supporting the authorities
Everton Football Club have confirmed that they have suspended a first-team player from their squad pending a police investigation.
The Premier League club did not confirm the identity of the player or the relation of the investigation. In a statement, the club said:
‘Everton can confirm it has suspended a first-team player pending a police investigation.
‘The club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time.’
