Eoin Bradley apologises after retaliating to getting grabbed in the balls

Niall McIntyre

Eoin Bradley is a busy man.

On Sunday, the Derry legend scored 1-9 across the water for his club Parnell’s in the London Senior football championship. On Tuesday night, he was back home and he was playing for Coleraine in the Irish League against Ballymena.

The man they call ‘Skinner’ is 34 but he’s still kicking points like he was 27 and he’s playing some decent soccer for his club Coleraine too.

His side were out against Ballymena in the NIFL Premiership on Tuesday night at the Showgrounds and that man Bradley was in the thick of it.

Coleraine got off to a rough start in this Derby clash with Tony Kane scoring an absolute rasper after just seven minutes of the game.

And after 16 minutes, things got even worse for the men of Derry.

Bradley was given his marching orders on the quarter hour mark after he retaliated to an off-the-ball incident involving Ballymena player Jim Ervin.

Eoin’s brother Paddy tweeted out a video of the incident and he called out Ervin for his indiscretion.

“Jim Ervin showing his class grabbing an opponent by the privates. Surely needs to be looked at too,” he said.

It’s hard to blame Bradley for reacting, given that Ervin appeared to grab his privates.

Bradley’s Coleraine battled on bravely with ten men for more than an hour, and their efforts were rewarded when Stephen O’Donnell scored a late goal to ensure the spoils were shared in this pulsating derby clash late on.

After the game, Bradley took to Twitter to apologise for his reaction, but he did go onto admit that his crown jewels were ‘sore’ after the encounter.

We wish him well with the recovery.
