Diego Costa shows John Terry absolutely no respect after Chelsea’s title triumph

That's one way to celebrate...

You’ve just been crowned Premier League champions. What do you do?

Well first you hoist your manager – Antonio Conte in Chelsea’s case – high into the air as a means of thanking him for his debut season heroics.

Then you take the most influential member of your team – N’Golo Kante in Chelsea’s case – and do the same with him.

The next move is less obvious but should be religiously observed because what’s a title celebration if there’s no grabbing of the club captain’s testicles and spanking of his bottom?

Luckily, Diego Costa was the one man to remember this rite of passage as he gave John Terry the most fitting send-off of all.

Terry is set to leave Stamford Bridge after 713 games, five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, a Champions League, a Europa League and three League Cups for his club.

The centre-half made his Blues debut all the way back in 1998 and he’s seen almost everything on the football pitch.

But surely Costa’s unusual farewell to his captain was a new experience for Terry.

While the squad gathered for their lap of honour around the Hawthorns on Friday night, when a 1-0 victory over West Brom delivered them the title, Costa saw the opportunity and grabbed it with one firm hand.

From behind, Costa appeared to grab a hold of Terry’s balls and squeeze the life out of them before letting him have five sharp pats on the bum – one for each Premier League title, presumably.

Costa is a man of many levels. He’s a firecracker on the pitch but apparently great fun off it.

And he will absolutely not pass up the opportunity to cup a gentleman’s bollocks if the moment presents itself.
