David Moyes isn’t exactly remembered fondly by many Manchester United fans.
Alex Ferguson’s successor “guided” United to their worst ever Premier League finish and most supporters want to have his tenure scrubbed from their memory.
And the Scot could see his popularity around Old Trafford plummet even further if he gets the job with which he’s now being linked.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Moyes is the preferred candidate to take over at Leeds when Steve Parkin’s takeover goes through.
Lifelong Leeds fan and multimillionaire Parkin is currently negotiating with controversial owner Massimo Cellino to buy out his stake in the club and it’s understood that he’s choosing “The Chosen One” to replace Steve Evans in the Elland Road dugout.
Moyes was sacked by Real Sociedad earlier this week after winning just 12 of his 42 games in charge and the Leeds job would make sense considering there are not too many obvious job openings in the Premier League and Moyes’ Preston home is within driving distance to Leeds.
