David Beckham has paid tribute to the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

The former Manchester United and England star posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram account in the wake of the attrocities which ripped through the heart of the French capital.

Beckham, who played for Paris St Germain in the final stages of his football career, said: “As the sun rises in this beautiful city we remember the people that have died and the families that have lost loved ones… Our thoughts are with you all… PrayForParis.”

The 40-year-old famously donated his wages from his five-month stint at the French Ligue 1 club to local childrens charities.

The message was posted ahead of Beckham’s return to Old Trafford in a charity match for UNICEF.
