David Beckham pays Zlatan Ibrahimovic unsettling compliments to try and tempt him to the MLS

Zlatan has conquered Europe, so where to next?

The Swede is coming to the end of his contract at PSG and the 34-year-old is unlikely to be in Paris next season

The goal-machine, and quote machine too, has been mulling over various options about where would best suit his talents.

Frankly we would love to see him in the Premier League, but David Beckham has ideas on bringing his former teammate to America.

Beckham has a short loved spell with PSG as he concluded his career in 2013, and his next venture in football is set to be a new MLS franchise in Miami.

And to get the team off the ground, and to get some much needed headlines, he feels that the former AC Milan striker would be an ideal signing

Speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet the ex-England captain admitted he’s love to see his former team-mate living it up in Florida

“We have received permission to build an arena and it will take three years … maybe two, at best.”

“If Ibrahimovic is still active, then I want to buy him right away. He is a physically magnificent specimen, so it’s entirely possible. Who does not want a man who is prepared to kill to win?”

Even though we are slightly creeped out by the ‘physical specimen’ line above, Beckham is hopeful that the 34-year olds eye for goal, which has seen hit net 17 times already this campaign, would not be dimmed by a move across the Atlantic

“I’ve played with or against the very best in the world. I want to say that I have never met anyone who was so serious during both practice and games. When I came to Paris I knew that he was an incomparable talent as a player, but he’d be so tough and merciless on himself at all times, I had no idea.

“He is a born winner. He is a beast with huge self confidence, and I’m one of his biggest admirers.”
