Danny Ings cements his “sound man” image by helping sick little girl tick items off her bucket list

Heartwarming from the Burnley striker

We’re going to go ahead and say it – Danny Ings is the nicest footballer of all time.

He has a reputation for just doing the right thing on such a regular basis that we’ve fallen in love with him a little bit.

His latest act of being lovely came this week when he met Harlee-Jae Procter, a four-year-old who suffers from a rare genetic disorder, after he heard about the little girl on Twitter.

After learning how big a fan she is of Burnley, Ings invited Harlee-Jae to the training ground where the pair made plans to tick items off the young girl’s bucket list.

The England U21 international has vowed to take Harlee-Jae to the zoo and bring her to Turf Moor as team mascot; and even joked that he would dress up as a character from Disney’s Frozen to make her laugh.

Ings told the Manchester Evening News: “It’s a nice feeling for me to meet her. Hopefully we can work together and tick off as many things as we can. I think we can do most of them.

“We’re going to contact the zoo and see if we can go there for the afternoon and we’re going to see some animals so I’m really looking forward to that.

“I’ve never been to a zoo so I’m looking forward to it just as much as she is. I’m really excited for it.

“I’ve got myself a new best friend. And she gave me a kiss on the cheek as well which was nice.”

This is nowhere near the first time that Ings has proved himself a perfect gentleman after recently setting up an initiative to help disabled kids just months after a picture of him celebrating with this young Clarets fan went viral.
