Cristiano Ronaldo leaves monstrous tip at hotel he stayed in following World Cup

He made it back in five and half hours

Well played Cristiano Ronaldo. Your move, Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly left a tip worth £17,850 to staff at the luxury Greek hotel where he stayed prior to his unveiling as a Juventus player.

The former Real Madrid star had spent time at the hotel with family and friends in the aftermath of Portugal’s early elimination from the World Cup at the hands of Uruguay; a 2-1 defeat in the round of 16, and was so happy with the service that he left the five-figure sum with presumably stunned staff.

The 33-year-old eventually departed the hotel to complete his £105 million move to Juventus, which saw him leave the Santiago Bernabeu after close to a decade with the Spanish giants.

Signing a four-year deal worth £500,000 with the Italian side, Ronaldo will be reunited with his most recent coach at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane; who has signed a deal to become a sporting director in Turin.

While the tip is undoubtedly exceptionally big, Ronaldo need not worry, because – according to the terms of his Juventus contract – he will have made that money back within approximately five and a half hours.
