Coleman being targeted by Premier League leaders

It looks like Seamus Coleman could be a summer target for Chelsea.

The Republic of Ireland international, believed to be a target of Arsenal and Manchester United over the last number of years, is being heavily linked to a move to Stanford Bridge.

Coleman won’t come cheap though and it’s expected the right back would fetch a fee of at least €25 million in any switch.(Mail On Sunday)

Sunderland v Everton - Premier League

Brendan Rodgers is desperately trying to kickstart Liverpool’s season and he feels a young winger is just what the club need right now.

Norwich speedster Nathan Redmond is being linked with a move to Anfield as Rodgers attempts to pull a rabbit out of the hat in January like he did in 2013 with Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.

The England Under-21 winger is set to cost £10 million and could put the future of Lazar Markovic in doubt, despite the Serb only arriving in the summer.(Daily Star)

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Norwich City - Sky Bet Championship

Manchester United are looking to move on midfielder Ander Herrera less than a year after signing the highly-rated Spanish play-maker.

It’s believed Louis van Gaal has seen enough to convince him that the club would be better off to cut their losses and are now looking at a possible swap deal with a man who is no stranger to these transfer gossip pages, Xherdan Shaqiri, moving to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich with £7 million also part of the deal.

Herrera’s signature was agreed under previous manager David Moyes but he has seen little action under Van Gaal this season (Express)

Leicester City v Manchester United - Premier League

High flying Southampton are looking to push on in 2015 and are lining up a swoop for Slovenia’s Kevin Kampl.

The midfielder, who’s currently plying his trade for one of Giovanni Trappatoni’s old sides, Red Bull Salzburg, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the last 18 months, including Everton and Arsenal.

But it seems Ronald Koeman’s Saints are leading the race for his signature at a bargain £5million.

We hope he turns up for interviews on Sky and the BBC like he did last week after the game at Wembley, wearing a baseball cap with a rather interesting choice of words on it (Mirror)
