One regular day of AFCON…
Officials are in discussions to resume the game between Tunisia and Mali after the game was stopped 10 seconds early – sparking controversy amongst the Tunisia team.
The Africa Cup of Nations Group F match had seen Mali leading with less than a minute to go after an Ibrahima Koné penalty early in the second half, but after several stoppages, water breaks, VAR decisions, substitutions and a missed penalty from Turkey as well as blowing for full-time originally in the 85th minute, a lengthy amount of stoppage time was expected to be added on.
However the referee blew for full-time with 89 minutes and 44 seconds on the clock, sparking outrage from the Tunisia side.
It looked set to end in controversy, however during Mali manager Mohamed Magassouba’s press conference, he was interrupted by officials from the Cameroon Football Association who confirmed that the match would be restarted, playing out the intended final three minutes, much to the Mali manager’s anger.

As it stands, it remains unclear as to whether the game will go ahead or not, with the Mali side reportedly refusing to come back out for the fixture and Tunisia insisting that the full amount of time be played.
