Carlo Ancelotti’s new job should be announced very shortly.

And the former AC Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea boss is heading somewhere he has never managed before.

According to reports today, the Italian is set to be announced as Pep Guardiola’s successor this afternoon, when the former Barcelona man confirms, as expected that he is leaving Bayern Munich this summer.

The Guardian are reporting that the Italian, who was most recently linked with taking over at Liverpool after the dismissal of Brendan Rodgers, has agreed  in principal to take over the German champions in the summer.

The newspaper is reporting that Ancelotti will take on a three-year deal in Munich which will go some way to appeasing fans who have grown to love the dominant displays of possession and precision from Guardiola’s Munich team.
