What exactly that major challenge will be remains unknown, but he has been linked with a few different options. A lucrative move to China, a return to the UK, a trip down under to the A-League and even finishing up his career in the League of Ireland have all been suggested, and it's that last option that captured the imaginations of fans on our little island. It was thought that if Keano was heading to the Airtricity League that Shamrock Rovers would be the likely destination. When he lined out for LA Galaxy against the Hoops in a pre-season friendly in his home town of Tallaght last year, he received a hero's welcome from the impassioned support.
