Louis van Gaal doesn’t seem too concerned about his relatively threadbare striking options.

The Manchester United boss is willing to let young forward James Wilson join Celtic on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Scottish Daily Mail report that Wilson is set to join up with former teammate Tyler Blackett at Celtic Park when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Wilson recently signed a new contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2017 but it doesn’t look like he’s going to break into the starting line-up any time soon with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial ahead of him in the pecking order.

Hoops manager Ronny Deila has long admired the England U21 international and wanted to take the youngster on a season-long deal with Blackett but five months will have to suffice.
