This could be the beginning of the end for Andros Townsend’s Tottenham Hotspur career.
Andros Townsend isn’t enjoy the best of times at White Hart Lane at the moment. The England international has found himself out of favour by Mauricio Pochettino this season and has spent most of his playing time in the Europa League.
The 24-year-old has been perpetually linked with a move away from the North London outfit but the winger has always expressed his desire to remain at the club and try to break into the first team.
However, this stance may have change following an incident that occurred after Spurs’ 3-1 victory Aston Villa on Monday night.
Townsend, who was an unused substitute, became involved in an altercation with the Tottenham fitness coach Nathan Gardiner after the match. Photos emerged which seem to show the pair involved in an aggressive-looking shoving match.
The England winger appears to grab hold of the coach and a grappling tussle ensues. The duo were also seen shouting at each other before Townsend left in a huff to rejoin the rest of the squad in the changing rooms.
