There are some big Liverpool transfer rumours this morning with some papers claiming that the club have plans to bring players in as well as let some go in the January transfer window.

The Daily Star are reporting that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has his sights set on Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic. The Stoke shotstopper was heavily linked with the Reds in summer 2013 but they were apparently turned off by his staggering £15m price tag. Liverpool opted to sign Simon Mignolet from Sunderland instead who conceded 50 goals in his first season at the club.

Chelsea could be set to land CSKA Moscow sharpshooter Seydou Doumbia for just £15m according to The Daily Star. The Cote d’Ivoire striker has been in fine form for the Russian outfit this season, finding the net nine times in 14 appearances including three goals in the Champions League. He could provide more than adequate backup for Diego Costa who has been in lethal form for the Blues.

Inter Milan and Fiorentina are planning a January haul of Premier League strikers due to an injury crisis in their strikeforce. The Daily Express reported that Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic, Liverpool’s Fabio Borini and Arsenal’s Joel Campbell could all be leaving the Premier league in January after being strongly linked with a move to the Serie A.

The Times are reporting that Arsenal and Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Barcelona defender Dani Alves. The Brazilian right-back’s contract expires with the Catalan club next summer and with both Arsenal and Manchester United displaying defensive frailties this season, he could be the man to sure up either side’s defence as well as provide an attacking threat going forward.
