It would be a disservice to call Aiden McGeady 'the Irish Messi' after Barcelona's piss-poor showing against PSG.

Perhaps a better moniker for the Preston North End winger would be the Irish Merlin, because his multiple moments of magic against Birmingham on Tuesday night. The Republic of Ireland international continued his fine form at the weekend that saw him earn a Man of the Match display against Brentford. McGeady bagged a brace and an assist to claim the accolade. Against Birmingham, it was his dizzying footwork and expert trickery on the ball that had fans singing his praises during the game. McGeady was taken off the field at the 85 minute mark with his side leading 2-1, but it was a performance that will live long in the memory of anyone who saw it, judging by the reaction on Twitter. https://twitter.com/gordielad/status/831604791080009728 https://twitter.com/MattEastham10/status/831604366603911168 https://twitter.com/GarethLivesey95/status/831604134092664833 https://twitter.com/alanrobinson_22/status/831603256119943168 https://twitter.com/pnemad/status/831603139539263490 https://twitter.com/emmaloco_/status/831603044211105792 https://twitter.com/adamepne/status/831602403065618432 https://twitter.com/SeanTay91/status/831597766627430409 https://twitter.com/Penfold1993/status/831597746868146179 https://twitter.com/AdamLordLM/status/831597610104414208 https://twitter.com/samallsop18/status/831597513681596422 https://twitter.com/PNEBenHD/status/831597358060273667
