It looks like the end-game for the Norwegian.

The Manchester United board have reportedly drawn up three-man shortlist after they ‘decided to sack’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Times has reported that exit talks are underway with Solskjaer and United after the club lost 4-1 to Watford today. They have only won four of their last 13 games.

Following the game, Solskjaer admitted to the BBC that he felt ‘very low’ after the defeat, while he also admitted to being “embarrassed” by the latest defeat.

The Times report states that a package will now be put together and that Solskjaer looks to be on his way out. The report reads:

‘An emergency virtual board meeting was called by the Glazer family during the second half of the match and within the talks, which started at about 7pm tonight, the group managing director, Richard Arnold, was instructed to negotiate the precise terms of Solskajer’s departure with the Norwegian.’

Zinedine Zidane tops four-man shortlist

The number one priority for United is said to be former Real Madrid player and manager Zinedine Zidane. Club officials have been told to “accelerate” attempts to get the Frenchman.

The other men on the shortlist are Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Hag and Brendan Rodgers.
