Shane Lowry continued his stellar form at the Open on Saturday with a scintillating round that saw him take a four shot lead over Tommy Fleetwood.
The Offaly native entered the third day of the Open tied for first place at -8 under after shooting back-to-back round scores of 67 at Royal Portrush before completing his third round with a remarkable round of 63 with five birdies on the back nine.

Chants of ole, ole, ole accompanied Lowry as he made his way to the green on the 18th with the Irish golfer now favourite to claim a first major of his career.
He finished in second place at the US Open in 2016 and now has a real chance to claim a first Claret Jug.
“My mind is still a bit fuzzy,” Lowry told Sky Sports.
“I really enjoyed today. Obviously I played great golf and the crowd were incredible. I just felt so comfortable out there. I’m hoping to feel that comfort tomorrow.
“I have a tough 24 hours ahead of me but there’s no where I’d rather be. I have a four shot lead in a championship in Ireland and tomorrow is going to be incredible no matter what happens.”
