Like the end of a western

We want to ride off on a horse when we quit our day jobs too.

Jared Allen has decided to call time on an NFL career that saw him become one of the best known figures in American Football.

The pass-rusher quits after 12 years in the NFL, and the five-time Pro Bowl defensive end has picked a pretty unique way to let his fans know he won’t be putting on his cleats anymore.

The Carolina Panthers man bows out in the wake of this month’s Super Bowl loss to the Denver Broncos.

He did release a proper statement, but for anyone following him on social media, it was all about riding off into a sunset, well kind of.
