Leinster Rugby Awards Ball 2018
24 April 2018; On arrival at the Leinster Rugby Awards Ball are, from left, Rory O'Loughlin, James Ryan and Dan Leavy. The Awards, taking place at the InterContinental Dublin and MCd by Darragh Maloney, were a celebration of the 2017/18 Leinster Rugby season to date and over the course of the evening Leinster Rugby acknowledged the contributions of retirees Isa Nacewa, Richardt Strauss and Jamie Heaslip as well as presenting Leinster Rugby caps to departees Jordi Murphy, Cathal Marsh and Peadar Timmins. Former Leinster and Ireland player Paul McNaughton was inducted into the Guinness Hall of Fame. Some of the other Award winners on the night included; Blackrock College (Deep River Rock School of the Year), Hugh Woodhouse, Mullingar RFC (Beauchamps Contribution to Leinster Rugby Award), MU Barnhall RFC (CityJet Senior Club of the Year), Gorey Community School (Irish Independent Development School of the Year Award), Wicklow RFC (Bank of Ireland Junior Club of the Year) and Nora Stapleton (Energia Womens Rugby Award).
