It will all be decided tomorrow but the German has the advantage on the grid.
Nico Rosberg will go into the final, double point, race of the 2014 F1 season 17-points down on team-mate and title rival Lewis Hamilton but he will start the race ahead of him.
After posting the fastest time in Q1 and Q2 at the Yas Marina Circuit, Hamilton was not the fastest in Q3. Rosberg was only fourth in Q2 qualifying, behind Massa and Bottas, but the German driver managed to post a 1.40.697 to take the lead in Q3 qualifying initially and then he posted a 1.40.480, and Hamilton couldn't best that, clocking a 1.40.866.
Here's the final grid of the year
1) Nico Rosberg 2) Lewis Hamilton 3) Valtteri Bottas 4) Felipe Massa 5) Daniel Ricciardo 6) Sebastian Vettel 7) Daniil Kvyat 8) Jenson Button 9) Kimi Raikkonen 10) Fernando Alonso 11) Kevin Magnussen 12) Jean-Eric Vergne 13) Sergio Perez 14) Nico Hulkenberg 15) Adrian Sutil 16) Romain Grosjean 17) Esteban Gutierrez 18) Pastor Maldonado 19) Kamui Kobayashi 20) Will Stevens
First or second place tomorrow will seal the title for Hamilton regardless of where Rosberg finishes while Rosberg needs to win and have Hamilton finish third or lower.
