WATCH: Valerie Letourneau’s tiny dog completely stole the show at UFC Ottawa weigh-ins

Joe Silva's reaction is priceless

Nothing strikes fear into the heart of your opponent quite like an adorable tiny dog!

It’s all looking good for Saturday day night as every fighter competing at UFC Ottawa came in on weight bar one, Randa Markos. After weighing in 2.5 lbs over the 115 lb limit on Friday, she forfeits 20 percent of of her purse to opponent Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger.

The “just for show” weigh-ins that happened later in that day were very memorable. Although we didn’t get much action from the headliners at the event (don’t worry, we’ll get plenty of that in the fight itself) a few of the fighters with a lower billing on the card stepped up to entertain the crowd.

Sam Alvey got a few laughs when he rocked out donning a wig, clearing taking a light-hearted pop at his opponent Elias Theodorou, who returned the favour by handing him a can of something… possibly whoop ass?

The P4P king of humorous weigh-ins, Sean O’Connell brought bubbles to the show, which former hockey enforcer Steve Bosse didn’t seem to appreciate at all.

However, it was former strawweight contender Valerie Letourneau, or rather her tiny dog that stole the show.

Leturneau, who takes on Joanne Calderwood in the UFC’s first ever women’s flyweight contest, had matchmaker Joe Silva beaming when she proud her companion with her for the obligatory staredown.

Remember when Conor McGregor told Jimmy Kimmel that he would make his walk to the Octagon with a primate some day? Well, now there’s precedence for bringing pets to UFC events, it might be a goer.
