As Conor McGregor would say, timing is everything.
UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson certainly appreciated the irony as a live-stream with fans was interrupted by a knock on the door from US Anti-Doping Agency officials.
Fighters are now being tested far more frequently outside of competition, with McGregor himself recently getting a visit to his home in Dublin.
Mighty Mouse was in the middle of streaming himself playing the video game Bloodborne, and happened to be answering questions from fans regarding those they suspected of using PEDs in mixed martial arts.
“One second, somebody knocking on my goddamn door like the police, we’re going on a quick commercial break,”, Johnson said, before he can overheard saying: “Well, well, well, come on in Usada!”
The officials refused to be videoed, as Johnson closed down the Twitch stream, telling viewers: “Usada want to take my blood and my urine. I gotta close down the stream to make sure I take care of my legal issues, to make sure the champ is not on HGH or steroids.
“We were just talking about some people who they [fans] think are on it,” Johnson then told the testers.
The timing is even sweeter when you check the comments on the chat before the knock on the door, including one which says “testers now just show up random now early in the morning”.
