UFC star Miesha Tate’s heartwarming tale of human decency will bring a tear to your eye

Really showing her class

This week’s feel-good story comes courtesy of Miesha Tate.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion is widely regarded as one of the soundest fighters in all of MMA.

Her upbeat attitude and the respect she shows towards her opponents (as long as they aren’t named Ronda Rousey) has saw her solidify her place as one of the sport’s “good eggs,” an incredible feat considering she gets paid to beat up the baddest women on the planet.

However, if what she does inside the Octagon represents one aspect of her character, then her act of heroism at the weekend perfectly illustrates the other side.

On her Facebook account, she recounted a wonderful tale of how she came to the aid of a little girl named Kai who had broken her arm on a mountain in Mary Jane Falls, Nevada.

Tate saw Kai’s mother struggling to carry her down the mountain and proceeded to carry her two miles down the mountain, talking to her to keep her spirits up the whole throughout the duration of the journey. Tate was blown away by Kai’s strength, admitting she drew inspiration from her.

Check out Cupcake’s way better description of the brilliant story in the post embedded below.

Her father was very appreciative of Tate’s incredible gesture as he extended his thanks to the athlete on Instagram.
