James Gallagher set to headline Bellator show in Dublin
James Gallagher will headline Bellator's Dublin card in September with the SBG fighter set to fight Cal Ellenor at the 3 Arena.
Gallagher defeated Steven Graham in his last fight in the capital with a first round submission win to extend his professional record to 9-1.
The 22-year-old will now take on Cal "Pacino" Ellenor (8-2-0) on September 27 with Bellator MMA officials confirming the fight on Wednesday.
Ellenor has lost two of his last five fights with decision losses to Gareth Buirski and Luthando Biko, coupled with wins over Nathan Greyson, Faeez Jacobs and Espen Kolltviet, while Gallagher has won his last two fights (Jeremiah Labiano and Steven Graham) since his knockout loss to Ricky Bandejas last year.
Bellator Dublin will be the fourth instalment of six scheduled Bellator European Fight Series events set to take place throughout the UK and Europe in 2019, with two more events planned for later this year.
David Green, Head of Bellator Europe, said: "Ireland has always been a very important market for us and we are delighted to be returning to Dublin again in September.
"The event in Dublin in February this year was a landmark moment for the promotion and our dedicated fan base in Ireland made sure it was an unforgettable night of MMA action that will live long in the memory."
He added: "The European Fight Series has so far delivered spectacular finishes, highlight-reel knockouts and huge upsets and we are anticipating another blockbuster event in September."
Bellator Dublin will be broadcast live on Channel 5 in the UK and on Virgin Media Television in Ireland.
