Tyrone’s starting XV in the 2003 All-Ireland final quiz

Lee Costello

You can only do something the first time once.

Tyrone are currently the All-Ireland champions, the fourth time in their in history, but it wasn’t too long ago that they had none in the trophy cabinet.

Back in 2003, a Peter Canavan inspired side finally broke mould, and brought the Sam Maguire home to the county for the first time ever.

Interestingly, it was Armagh who they beat in the final in what was the first and still the only, All-Ireland final between two Ulster sides.

The Red Hand county went on to win two more All-Irelands that decade, which means the teams who climbed the Hogan steps can sometimes be blended into one.

We want you to name the starting 15 of that historic first triumph, but be warned, some of the suggestions are a case of right person at the wrong time.
