Legendary Kerryman Marc O’ Sé has confirmed his retirement from inter county football.

The 36-year-old has hung up his boots for good after a staggering 16 years with the Kingdom senior panel.

During his storied career he amassed an incredible 176 League and Championship appearances, five All-Ireland medals, three league titles, 10 Munster Championships and five All-Stars.

His last game for Kerry came in the All-Ireland semi final defeat to Dublin in August, when he was introduced as a sub. The news comes as no surprise after he remained on the field for an extended period afterwards.

The GAA community have been flooding social media with tributes for the Kerry legend made the official announcement on Wednesday.
